Who are Salt of the Earth?

Salt of the Earth is a family-owned natural deodorant brand that has been making deodorant in the UK since 1993. Everything in our core range is made at our own factory in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire. Our deodorants are certified 100% COSMOS Natural by the Soil Association, approved by the Vegan Society and Cruelty-Free International, and made by a certified B Corp. We have been refilling sprays, roll-ons and sticks since 2013, long before it was fashionable.

We have collected more than 75 awards over the years, and in 2025 we received The King's Award for Enterprise: International Trade and in 2026 the King's Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development. It has been a good few years for the trophy shelf.

Ocean & Coconut is a unisex scent built around soft ocean-style notes with a touch of melon and coconut. It opens with coconut and melon, settles into violet and jasmine, and finishes on a warm base of vanilla and coumarin. In plain terms: it smells like a holiday, without smelling like a piña colada.

How does a natural deodorant spray actually work?

Our Ocean & Coconut Natural Deodorant Spray uses potassium alum, a mineral salt, to leave a light layer on the skin that helps limit the bacteria responsible for body odour. It is a deodorant, not an antiperspirant, so it does not block pores or stop you sweating. It works with your body to keep you feeling fresh, and it leaves no white marks. Aloe vera is in there to keep things comfortable.
