Salt of the Earth Achieves B Corp Certification: Another Step in Our Commitment to People and Planet
By Thomas Laird

We are thrilled to announce that our company, Crystal Spring Consumer Division Ltd, creators of the Salt of the Earth brand, has officially joined the global community of Certified B Corporations! As of last Monday, we received our certification with a score of 81.8, adding another meaningful credential to our commitment to responsible business practices.
What Does It Mean to Be a B Corp?
B Corp certification is awarded to companies that meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability. Unlike other certifications that focus solely on products, B Corp evaluates the entire company and its impact across governance, workers, community, environment, and customers.
This rigorous assessment ensures that certified companies aren't just talking about making a difference – they're actually doing it.
A Natural Addition to Our Values
For us at Salt of the Earth, becoming a B Corp feels like a natural progression in our journey. As a family-run business dedicated to creating truly natural deodorants, we've always prioritised people and planet alongside our products.
"Achieving B Corp certification validates what we've been quietly doing for years," says Thomas Laird, Managing Director of Crystal Spring Consumer Division Ltd, the company behind Salt of the Earth. "We've always believed that business can be a force for good. This certification doesn't change who we are – it simply recognises the values we've held since my mother Sally bought the company back in 2005. We're proud to join a community of businesses that share our belief that success should be measured by more than just profit."
