Introducing Our New and Improved Unscented Deodorant Spray Bottle

We are thrilled to announce that one of our best-selling products, Salt of the Earth Unscented Natural Deodorant Spray 100ml has undergone a change. You may have noticed that our product has gone from a natural HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) bottle with a clear/frosted appearance to a new and improved white plastic bottle.

At Salt of the Earth we are constantly questioning our decisions and exploring new ways to improve the sustainability of our company and products. Our previous natural HDPE bottle was made from 100% plant-derived plastic, which was a step in the right direction, but we wanted to do more.

The new white bottle now contains 50% post-consumer recycled plastic and 50% plant-derived plastic, making it even more sustainable. We believe that this is a big step forward in reducing the impact of our products on the environment.

We understand that some of you may be wondering why we did not go for a natural HDPE bottle with 50% post-consumer recycled plastic and 50% plant-derived plastic. Unfortunately, this would have compromised the look and feel of the product too much, as the bottles would have appeared green and cloudy.

We are confident that you will love the new and improved look of our white plastic bottle and hope that you appreciate our commitment to sustainability.

It's important to remember that HDPE is easily recyclable. To assist the recycling process, we kindly ask that you remove the over-cap, pump spray (which is not currently recyclable as it's multi-material) and label before recycling the bottle.

Lastly, we would like to remind you that refilling your bottle with one of our 500ml spray refills after use will help reduce plastic usage by 60% compared to buying five individual units. In the next few months, we will also be updating a number of our products with new labels, so keep an eye out for them.
